Save the Name of Birmingham Gun Quarter
Dear Sir or Madam,
We the undersigned request that the name of the of the Birmingham Gun Quarter is not changed to the proposed name of St Chads and St Georges.
The Gun Quarter name is part of Birmingham’s proud and historic heritage stretching over 250 years, and is still a major part of the British gun trade which in turn attracts business worldwide.
Simply put your name and email address and hit the “Sign” button to add your name to the petition. We’ll email you (if you tick the box) once we have the conclusion to the affair.
We need your support to save the name of this famous heritage site of Birmingham, once the gun-making centre of the World.
Thank you
Tony Treadwell

Tony and Gary, representing the gun trade and its historic legacy, have held a very constructive meeting with Councillor Huxtable and other council staff at Birmingham City Hall. The meeting was held in a positive way and we felt that the council listened to our concerns. More so, we have a plan that will set the gun quarter in Birmingham in the statute books in terms of its boundary and historical importance forever. A plan to introduce information boards for the public has been agreed and this will preserve the heritage that the quarter deserves. We continue to work with the council to execute on the objectives agreed and will keep everyone up-to-date on progress both on the Facebook page and in the press as and when required. Finally, we are encouraged by the constructive talks with the council thus far. We also thank Conor from BASC who has helped with the communication and negotiation process from the start and Linda and Mike Dingley who help bring the issue to the fore and enable constructive dialogue to take place.
